Painting Leaves of Fall

October 2, 2014

After our Fall scavenger hunt around the neighborhood, Prachim brought their leaf collections to the arts and crafts table. When discussing why dry leaves fall from the trees, one child remarked that the tree wanted a new dress. Another said that someone forgot to water the trees. This offered a great opportunity to discuss GESHEM or RAIN. After our discussions, we painted our leaves in the colors of Fall: red (adom), yellow (tzahov) and green (yarok). Please come up to our classroom on the second floor to see the finished results!
