Meirav Finley is Co-Founder of Ohr HaTorah congregation, and serves as Executive and Educational Director. Born and raised in Eilat, Israel, she served in the Israeli Air Force before studying English Literature at the Hebrew University and Linguistics at Tel Aviv University. After moving to L.A. in 1984, Meirav worked as a Hebrew language teacher for children and adults in various private schools and synagogues in Los Angeles prior to founding the Ohr HaTorah Synagogue in 1993. Meirav received her Early Childhood certification as a Teacher and Director from UCLA.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stephanie's special ties to Ohr HaTorah precede Kinder Circle. With her mother working as the synagogue bookkeeper for many years, Stephanie began working at Ohr HaTorah part-time during high school and as a college student. Once she received her B.A. in Psychology from UCR she joined the Ohr HaTorah staff full time. Stephanie is gifted with a wide range of talents, art, writing, graphics, computer science, to name just a few. As the preschool and religious school administrator, Stephanie is currently the synagogue's head administrator helping with most aspects of the synagogue's operations.
Stephanie currently is working toward obtaining her certificate in early childhood administration.
Teacher & Assistant Director
Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Sharon is a gifted teacher with twenty six years of experience in the field of early childhood. She received a double Bachelor degrees from Levinski College of Education and Seminar Hakibbutzim College of Education, in Kindergarten and General Education. When Sharon moved to Los Angeles in 1999 she pursued her passion for art at the Institute of Art and Design.
Since then she has worked in both preschools and day schools as a Hebrew and Art Teacher. This year Sharon is assuming the role of the assistant preschool director. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will support and strengthen the school vision.
Sharon's gifts as a teacher bring the love for learning and the love for art and music to life every day in every child. Sharon delights in meeting each child's individual needs and helping them explore their gifts.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel, Nurit's background and skills in organizational communication and human resources in the workplace enhance her work in early childhood and the non profit environment. Moreover, as a seasoned preschool teacher at Kinder Circle, her great talents and expertise in the arts play a significant role in language immersion. Nurit's reputation as a baker, in musical theatre and interactive play precedes her. The abundant love, joy and enthusiasm with which Nurit welcomes every child every day adds magic to all children, yet especially to the first time children and parents of our young group at K C.
